Line Monsters
Students explored different types of lines and created their very own colorful line monsters.
Pumpkins
Students experimented with the primary colors to combine red and yellow paint to make an orange pumpkin. Then, we learned about different shapes to create a Jack-O-Lantern.
Primary and Secondary Ladybugs
Students created a ladybug painting using the primary and secondary colors. The two primary colors on the ladybug's wing were mixed to create the new secondary color on the ladybug's body.
Warm & Cool Hearts
Students studies the warm and cool colors and created a stained glass-like mixed media project using oil pastels and watercolors.
Symmetrical Butterflies
Students practiced symmetry painting in this multi-step butterfly project. Our emerging artists folded their paper in half, and then squeezed paint on only one side.  The paper was folded again to transfer the paint onto the other side, making a perfectly symmetrical design. All of the incredible details were added after: black coloring, white dots, and antennas. Sponge painting was then done to create the beautiful backgrounds.
