Starry Night Pumpkins
Students observed the lines and movement in the Starry Night and used Van Gogh’s style to create a pumpkin Starry Night scene.
Clay Owls
Students used slab techniques to create their very own Clintonville Owl! We used additive and subtractive methods to create facial features and feet as well. Finally, we wrote an artist statement about our beautiful work.
Chinese Ming Vases
Students explored symmetry and cultural art to create their own Chinese Ming vases. We observed popular Chinese Ming symbols and patterns and carved them into our scratch art symmetrical vases. Then, students added cherry blossoms inside of the vases, to create an absolutely amazing looking piece of art.
