Panaroni 3
Value Scale Landscapes
Students explored value in art, using tints and shades of one color to create a warm or cool landscape.
Figures in Motion
Students studied the human figure and movement and created their own poses. They named their poses to describe what the figure is doing.
Northern Lights Landscapes
Students studied the science behind Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) while creating a beautiful chalk pastel landscape. We learned these bright colors are caused by charged particles from the sun that enter the Earth’s atmosphere. Students also learned places where the Northern Lights are brightest, such as Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Alaska, Canada, Finland, and Greenland. Did you know that green is the most common color visible? Our 3rd Graders do! The colors appear as a “dance” in the sky.
Coil Pots
Students explored the coil clay method and created their own coil pots. They are all so unique!
