Welcome to K-2!
Hello Everyone!
A Bit about me:
My name is Ashley Skelcher and I am a Kindergarten teacher here at Clintonville Elementary School. This is my seventh year at Clintonville and my thirteenth year of teaching. I live in Wallingford with my husband, our 4 year old Sawyer and our rescue dog Norman. I love getting outside to run, walk, and hike. I also love to read, spend time with my family, and shoe shop! I am thrilled to be a part of your child's educational journey. In the K-2 classroom we learn a lot, have fun, make friends, and we aim to choose kind everyday!
My Education
I went to Southern Connecticut State University and received my undergrad degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. I also attended Quinnipiac University and received my masters degree in Educational Leadership with a focus in Literacy.

My Teaching Philosophy
I value the fun and excitement that come with learning. I expect students to always try their best. I work to create a classroom community that is safe, where students can take learning risks and make many friends.
